Cheryl is the company's visionary and holds the title of Chief Energy Officer. Her diverse background in law firm management makes Catalyst an obvious choice for lawyers seeking advice. She has been a full-time General Manager for two law firms and a business owner before she co-created Catalyst Group. Her own businesses (Attitudes in Living) gave her insight into the problems of small business owners. Her forty-five years background in management, employee development and marketing along with her attitude for having a passion for life creates an environment that propels the company’s clients forward.
She delivers her speeches and her work with humor coupled with a common sense approach to developing well managed practices and businesses. Her message of "build it and they will come" provides Catalyst clients with a competitive edge in today's economy. She sees no limits in what you can do if you want it enough. This attitude landed her a personal interview for the Apprentice at the Raleigh auditions. Her book "Soaring Eagles" about development of high performance employees is due to be published early 2011.
Dave has 47 years business experience and serves as President of Catalyst Group, Inc. He was with IBM for other 32 years, a former ISO Auditor, a business owner and private consultant for major corporations such as BCBS and Nortel. His extensive business experience before he co-created Catalyst has brought to small and medium size professional practices and businesses an expertise in strategic planning coupled with best business practices. His ability to bring the theory of leadership and self-mastery coupled with a balanced scorecard for business has allowed the small and medium size service firms and businesses to be competitive in today’s market. Dave is a certified trainer in Emotional Intelligence, Self-Mastery and Leadership under 360 Solutions, an international training company for major Fortune 500 companies. His favorite award has been the IBM Zest for Life plaque (you need to hear this story). His book "From Planning to Profit' is also due out in early 2011.
In 1999 the two of them joined forces. It was obvious from the start there was a strong need to bring the art of high performance organizations to service practices and businesses. Catalyst Group, Inc. was formed to meet this need. Catalyst operates on personal referrals and is selective about where they apply their time; wanting to help those who want to stay productive and proactive in the 21st century. They choose clients who see that a personal and professional life must be balanced in order to achieve success.
They are life partners and reside in Raleigh, North Carolina. Between the two of them, they have blended together a strong family unit of four children and their spouses and partners, two grand-children, two grand-cats and four grand-dogs. And there is, of course, “Mr. Bill”, their Sheltie. Each of them has survived serious cancer and health issues and teach others that you simply don't bet on the odds; it is the attitude that makes the difference.
