She also visited with the Charlotte Business Professionals to discuss Using Social Media and the USPS to Create Customers. JEANNE FRAZER A "MOVER & SHAKER"
For Jeanne, the highlight of September was being selected as a 2010 Mover & Shaker by Business Leader Media at an awards ceremony on September 23rd in Raleigh. The annual Movers & Shakers awards recognizes business leaders for their high level of performance at their organization, leadership skills and positive contributions to their communities. Frazer was recognized for growing her business and adding staff during this time when many agencies are downsizing or closing. She recently launched the new The Expert Speakers division of vitalink to offer writing services, speaking and seminars for small to mid-sized businesses. Frazer has also partnered with Lawyers Marketing Agency. A cancer survivor, Jeanne serves on several Boards, including the NCSU College of Agriculture and Life Science’s College Relations Advisor Board. And this summer, she provided pro bono creative and PR services to the local Art for Haiti, helping raise $30,000 for Habitat for Humanity’s earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.
A Little Goes a Long Way
vitalink and The Expert Speakers take their commitment to corporate citizenship and volunteerism seriously. Each year the staff selects several causes for which they donate their
time. “There are so many people in need that it can be hard to choose a group to support,” says Jeanne Frazer. “This year we decided to sponsor a coats and blankets drive in November to support the Raleigh Rescue Mission and the homeless of the area. We are asking other businesses in our area to join us by encouraging their employees to donate gently used items.” Past charities have included Habitat for Humanity, the March of Dimes, North Carolina Special Olympics and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
vitalink and The Expert Speakers actively encourage community involvement through corporate and individual participation in worthwhile events. Each employee is given a paid day off every year to spend donating time to the charity of his or her choice.
